APL ’s Bulk Chemical Division manufactures a complete range Ethyl / Butyl Glycol Ethers & Acetates, and wide range of high & Low aromatic solvents.

The Glycol Ethers & Acetates range of products, cater to the Paints & Coatings, ink, solvent and automotive brake fluid industry.

The high & Low range of aromatic solvents find application in Agrochemical, ink & resin, Paints & coatins, Adhesives, Thinner & Printing Industry.

The Products manufactured at this division exhibit Low odour, Good drying & steeing Power, Good Solvency and are Eco Friendly solvents.

The advanced R&D Centre at Dahej is constantly focused on developing & implementing improvised Processes & techniques to achieve high efficiencies of products & production capabilities. Our Research and development facility is equipped with the latest analytical instruments to meet the stringent quality norms and for development of standard as well as tailor made products to match the requirements of customers. Presently Bulk Chemical Products are manufactured at our APL-Gujrat Unit.

GLYCOL ETHERS & ACETATES

a) GLYCOL ETHERS

Glycol Ethers are solvents that can act as both organic as well as inorganic solvents. The unique quality of these solvents is modifiable boiling points and enhancement of mixing properties, which renders them as uniquely versatile solvents for both dissolving as well as binding applications.

Additional applications of Glycol Ethers include use as adhesives, anti-freeze, brake fluid, cleaning products, electronics cleaners, epoxies, floor polishes, metalworking fluids, paints, pastes and varnishes. They possess limitless applications as resin solvents in surface coatings and inks; dye solvents in textile and leather applications and intermediates for production of plasticizers with improved solubility features. Glycol Ethers are completely soluble in acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl ether and methanol.

APL’s products meet stringent international specifications and are marketed under the APSOL, APTOL and APACE series of products.

b) GLYCOL ETHER ACETATES

Glycol Ether Acetates are neutral liquids with weak pleasant odour. They are miscible with common organic solvents, but only partially with water. They are excellent solvents for nitrocellulose, cellulose, ethers, poly-acrylates etc. They are used in brushing lacquers. These solvents are ideal for lacquers where smell is undesirable. Glycol Ether Acetates also find application in specialty paints & coatings segment.

APL ’s High Aromatic Solvent range of products serve wide industrial applications like :

Paints and Coatings – Automotive and OEM, Industrial, Stoving, Coil and Metal Coatings, Enamels, Alkyds, Hammer tone, Low Odor finishes, Epoxies and Polyurethanes.

b) MEDIUM AROMATIC SOLVENTS – APSOL-M series

Medium Aromatic Solvents are high molecular low volatile solvents. These are excellent economical solvents for applications in Agrochemicals, PVC/Screen Inks, Roller Coatings, Specialty Chemicals, etc

These find special application in Agrochemicals where high flash, low volatility, low-density clear light color solvent serves as the best quality solvent for most of the Technicals. Due to the lower surface tension of the solvent, it also acts as an adjuvant helping in better & stable emulsion with improved wetting properties.

Other applications of Medium Aromatic Pesticides are:

c) LOW AROMATIC SOLVENTS – APSOL-L series

APL supplies a wide range of low aromatic solvents that are processed using state-of-the-art machines and latest technology. Our range of low aromatic solvents exhibit Low viscosity, low density, slow drying and good solvency.

These chemicals are widely used in various industries such as Adhesive, Paint, Resin, Thinner, Agro-chemicals, households' insecticides, fungicides, Textiles, cloth, paper and printing-processing Industry. These solvents also find use for Degreasing and cleaning purpose in machineries, machine spares manufacturing industries as ideal blending oil for industrial, automotive and specialty oil industries.
