Glycol esters - These are Fatty acid esters of Ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, which are used as pearling agent/opacifying agent in low viscosity shampoos, baby toiletries, liquid soaps, bath gels etc. They also have application with other surface active agents as stabilizing, dispersing, wetting, foaming and suspending agents.

Fatty acid/alcohol esters - Fatty acid/alcohol esters, which are widely used in personal care products as thickeners & dispersants. These are also widely used as skin conditioning agents, emollients, emulsifiers in cosmetics and anti-septic creams. Used as viscosity controlling agents. They make the skin smoother and prevent moisture loss. Tridecyl esters have a velvety after-feel and are recommended for use in all products which are left on throughout the day such as moisturizers, lotions, make-ups, face creams and day creams.
